Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Defend the rights of all those who have nothing. –Proverbs 31:8 (ICB)

Have you ever loved something so much that it’s as if a gravitational pull is bringing you closer? One where every sign directs to that place where you’re meant to be?

It’s a force that’s difficult to explain, and it may be one where others look at you a bit cross-eyed if you were to try to share the sheer determination you have to get there.

Our place is helping dogs. Quite specifically, our place is to help the underdogs. The forgotten. Those cast aside. The voiceless.

This journey is the manifestation of all of those things, and we also hope it’s a place where others will laugh, cry, share, learn, and get inspired to help the underdogs, too.

💜Muffin's Leg Amputation Surgery Is Scheduled & We Desperately Need Your Help!💜 Read Her Story Below, Donate, and Share:
❤️ Muffin was hit by a car and her left rear paw🐾 and leg were severely injured. She did receive treatment initially, but the wound became infected. Today, she was seen by Hillman Veterinary Clinic in Pensacola. After examination, Dr. Hillman🩻 concluded that amputation is necessary to prevent the spread of the infection. We have the estimate ($864.36), and have included it with her photos. Muffin’s surgery is scheduled for THIS Monday, May 20, 2024, and ALL of the estimate must be paid in full before her surgery can begin. If you prefer to donate directly to Muffin’s care, you can connect directly with Hillman Veterinary Clinic by calling (850) 433-2812. When you call, please mention Kayla Hall and Muffin.

With every dog and family we help, LovesDogs.org and Throwaway Rescue Alabama seek to serve as the dog’s fiduciary, where the needs and the outcome of the dog come first, and that often means helping the dog remain in a loving home by offering financial assistance with triage treatment, veterinary care, food, and/or medication for owners who would otherwise be unable to afford them. The alternative of not providing this help often ends in an owner-surrender, which is heartbreaking for both the family and the dog, and it ultimately adds to the heavy, heavy burden of overcrowding that shelters and rescues operate under today. Muffin is one of those dogs, and she and her family need your help.

🐾We believe in the power of prayer - please pray for this sweet girl. 🐾

🙏We never expect donations, but we are so grateful when we receive them. No amount is too small, and we love your Prayers and Shares.🙏

**GRAPHIC PHOTO** 💜Meet BOSS💜 One of our priorities at Loves Dogs is to help dogs remain in their homes even when heavy financial burdens hit their owners. Boss is one of those cases, and it is our hope to nurse him back to health, pay for his entire vet bill, and have him neutered for his owners. To do so, we need help from our Loves Dogs Village. 🙏 This little guy has a terrible and painful infection in and on his bottom (graphic photo). We have him scheduled for a Vet appointment this afternoon, and Teri has been helping him with pain relievers and anti-inflammatories in the interim. 🐾
🙏We are SO grateful for your donations. No amount is too small, and we love your Prayers and Shares, too. Here's how you can help:
1️⃣Donate on this post.
2️⃣Text LOVESDOGS to 44321, and our system will walk you through the process.
3️⃣Donate through our PayPal Giving Fund Charity Profile: www.paypal.com/US/fundraiser/charity/4534966.
4️⃣Donate via Venmo @lovesdogssomuch.
5️⃣Donate via our website here: lovesdogs.org
6️⃣Donate directly to Boss' veterinary care at Magnolia Animal Clinic (601) 766-9944, reference Teri with Throw Away Rescue Alabama and Boss.
YOU are why we can help dogs. Thank you for anything you can do to help us help this sweet boy.

I've written out multiple posts and ended up deleting them all. So I will just say this...
What I find to be the hardest part of this job. It’s not the death. It's the suffering. The lack of compassion that I see. It's making the hard choices that should not have been my responsibility in the first place.
In my opinion, you owe it to your pet to be with them in their final moments... to shower them with every last drop of love you have, to reassure them and to say goodbye. It's our last act of kindness, love and compassion.

If you are wondering... your dog was in my arms being loved and kissed as I told him what an amazing boy he was in the end, I made sure of it🐾 #ccashelter #notfair #shelterlife

Thank you for being there 💔

I would never leave my dogs alone to die. The other dogs need to see afterwards because they understand death but not abandonment

I believe it was easier to be there and comfort my furbabies as they slipped away.

❤️#ThePowerOfRescue COURTESY POST for our friend, Wendy, in Houston, TX, (additional contact info at the bottom of this post). ❤️ PLEASE contact Wendy DIRECTLY with questions or if you find your #FUREVER match on this post. ❤️SHARING IS CARING❤️
🐾🐶 Meet Parker 🐶🐾
Gender: M
Breed: Border Collie-Pitbull Mix
Color: Black/White
Age: Approximately 3 years old
Weight: 55 lbs

Notes about Parker from Wendy:
HEALTH/VETTING: Good health, microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated
Temperament: Parker is very smart and eager to please. He knows "sit" and does fairly well on a leash. He is housebroken (except in emergencies) and does well in a create (and will go willingly if given treats).

Parker has a TON of energy, so a fenced/secured yard is preferable.

Parker LIVES for toys. Very toy and treat-driven. He does not believe in personal space and wants to be wherever his person is. He bonds very quickly to the people who are looking after him.

Parker is EXTREMELY loyal to his person. Because of his personality, safe introductions are key. He does not do well behind a barrier if being introduced. A leash with a toy or treat is best, with the person not squaring up to him or invading his space. They would need to let him come to them. If he thinks he or his person is in danger or threatened, he can become aggressive.

CHILDREN: Parker is untested with children.

OTHER ANIMALS: Small animals or many other animals are NOT recommended.

MORE INFO: See the current owner for Parker's complete information or if you have specific questions about this sweet boy
